Nancy: It is....(Unsure) I guess....
Tim: (Surprised) What are you saying? That you've changed your mind?
Nancy: (Hesitates) Well....no.
Tim: (Insistent) Then what?
Nancy: (Indecisive) It's just going to be hard to leave, that's all.
Tim: (Understanding) I know, honey. But we're committed to it.
Karie: (Cuts in) Soooooo? Are you guys gonna tell us what's going on?
Phil: Yeah, where ya goin'?!
Tim: In a few months we'll be moving to New Guinea -- Irian Jaya. [Pronounced Ear-e-un Jai-ya].
Karie: What?
Phil: New Guinea? Isn't this a little impulsive?
Nancy: (Slightly sarcastic) We've had two whole weeks to think about it, Phil. Why would anyone think selling our house and moving half way around the world is impulsive?
Tim: It's not impulsive. It's God!
Phil: (Surprised) And how does God fit into this move?
Karie: (Under her breath) I'm not sure I want to hear this....
Phil: Karie! Relax, will ya?!
Karie: Relax? Nancy's my best friend, Phil. I'm upset.
Phil: Why get upset before you hear what Tim has to say?
Karie: (Stares at Phil for a moment) Good point. (Looks directly at Tim) Go ahead, Tim. Explain.
Tim: Thanks, Karie. (Clears his throat) A couple of weeks ago I was praying when....and I swear I'm not making this up....God spoke to me. 'You are to go to New Guinea' he said, just as plain as day. And, suddenly, I felt this burning desire to go.... (Momentarily deep in thought) Who am I to quarrel with God?
Karie: (Not buying it) That's.... weird! God has never spoken to me like that. (Turns directly to Nancy) Nancy? Don't just stand there, say something!
Nancy: (Weakly) I'll miss you guys....
Karie: (Under her breath) Mercy. (To Tim directly) So you're going to sell your home and move to a primitive country where there are cannibals? Cannibals do not kid around, Tim! They actually eat people!
Phil: (Joking) Then Tim won't have anything to worry about. He's so thick skinned they'd never get through the first layer!
Tim: (Not amused) You're a real commedian, Phil. But don't quit your day job.
Phil: (To himself) Boy. New Guinea. Saying it'll be a challenge is an understatement. (To the group) Isn't it just like God to do something really unexpected?
Nancy: Tell me about it.
