The Homosexual Agenda: Alarming Implications
By Marsha West

Before I say what's on my mind, I want to state categorically that I am not a "homophobe."  I have known "gays" and lesbians in my lifetime and befriended many of them.  In fact, I was "tolerant" before the term became politically correct.  I used to say, "What people do behind closed doors is their own business."  That, of course, was before I became a Christian.  Now I know that what people do behind closed doors concerns God; therefore it concerns me.

As a Christian I am committed to love what God loves, and to hate what God hates.  God hates homosexuality.  Therefore I "hate" those same-sex practices that God denounces -- and almost all civilized societies have denounced since the beginning of civilization.  God says, neither fornicators...nor homosexuals...will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9)  The Bible condemns all types of fornication, which would include homosexuality.  (Matthew 15:19; Mark 7:21; Acts 15:20, 29; Galatians 5:19-21; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; Hebrews 13:3)  As a Christian, how can I disregard the clear teachings of Scripture?  The answer is, I can't.

"Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman: that is detestable." (Leviticus 18:22)  "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable.  They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads." (Leviticus 20:13)

You say, These words are not from the lips of Jesus; Leviticus is the Old Testament...In the New Testament Jesus is never quoted as saying anything negative about homosexuality...That was Paul!  Keep in mind that evangelical Christians believe in a Trinitarian God -- Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  The doctrine of the Trinity is an essential belief of the Christian faith.  Jesus is the second person of the Trinity; very God of very God, God himself.  As God, Jesus Christ was as active in Old Testament times as in New Testament times. Today one of the crises in the church is the lack of understanding about the person of Christ.  If you're one of those who struggles with this, read the Gospel of John.

God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  Through His revelation of Himself in Scripture, we know that God is unchanging.  Many of His decrees held forth in the Old Testament still apply today!  While he was on Earth, Jesus made that very clear.  Exchanging that which is natural for that which is unnatural is condemned by God in both the Old and New Testaments.

Because I object to a lifestyle that God says in unnatural--detestable--I suddenly find myself being included with Ku Klux Klan members, neo-Nazis and the like!  Comparing opponents of their agenda to racial segregationists is a lethal weapon, one that is used effectively by gay-activists.  Their strategy to influence society is to engage in name-calling.  Today, anyone who opposes their lifestyle is called a homophobe, a hate-monger and a bigot, and lumped in the same category as those who hate people solely on the basis of their race!

What we're up against is a conflict of worldviews -- and the outcome of the battle will affect people everywhere on the planet.  This is why it's of critical importance for individuals to know the truth about the homosexual lifestyle.

Recently C. H. (Max) Freeman, outraged when he viewed a segment on 20/20 dealing with so-called hate groups, wrote this: "ABC's producers shamelessly equated aversion to such activities with raw racial bigotry. Through sly, high-tech innuendo, the cameras kept cross-cutting from, on the one hand, those who rightly denounce such sexual practices and, on the other hand, those ignoramuses who despise people solely on the basis of their race."

I don't know about you, but as one who rightly denounces such sexual practices, I'm concerned about the portrait 20/20 tried to paint of me.

Now let's examine that  'alternate life style' that 20/20 depicted as normal and acceptable, keeping in mind Freeman's warning: "That to in any way oppose it is akin to seeking a return to Turn the page
