Sally:  In your dreams!

Molly:  (Cuts them off) Enough already!  You're both scared of heights!  So what!  Maybe we shouldn't of come.  (While the group dialogue continues, Molly rummages through her fannypack looking for gum.  She removes the wrapper puts in her mouth)

Dean:   Ah, c'mon guys.  Don't give up now.  Sure, it's hard goin', but it's worth it.  Wait 'til you see the view!  It's incredible!

Sally: (Thinking out loud) How many people can say they've climbed to the top of Half Dome?  It would be great to be one of them, wouldn't it?

Darlene:  Listen, I'd love to be one of those precious few who have, only my feet hurt like the dikens.  What was I thinking wearing new shoes?!  Maybe you guys should go on without me.

Joe:  (Sees a way out) I'm about out of water, so maybe I'll wait here with you.  (To Dean) I mean, being a woman and all, she probably shouldn't be left alone, right? 

Dean: (He's had it) What?!  We only have a few feet to go and you're calling it quits?  I can't believe it!

Joe:  (Incredulous) A few feet?!!!  I just did the math my friend.  We're talkin' three football fields! 

Sally:  (Shields her eyes from the sun and looks up at the mountain) Three football fields, huh? 

George: And it's vertical a climb.

Darlene:  (Half kidding) Who's idea was this anyway?

Molly:  (Points to Dean) His!

All eyes are on Dean.

Dean:  Hey, don't look at me!  You all agreed to do this, remember?  Now you want to chicken out. (Mimics their whining) I'm hot. . .My feet hurt. . .I'm outta water. . .Uoooo, it's a vertical climb--

George:  Don't mock me, Dean. (Says this in a warning tone,  like Steve Martin would say it) 

Dean: I'm just tellin' it like it is, partner.

George:  Well, I didn't say I wasn't going--

Dean: So, are you?  Or are you going to sit around here with them?

George:  (Averts Dean's eyes and looks at Sally)  Are you going, honeybunch?

Sally: (Unsure) I. . .I guess. . .

Sally joins Darlene and the two start whispering

Joe: (Has a sudden change of heart--from guilt) I came here to climb Half Dome, so with or without water, I'm goin! 

Molly:  (Sarcasm) Well, well, will ya get a look at Joe! All of a sudden the man's just oooozing testosterone.
